| Customer Reviews: Merely adequate May 7, 2010 Kaine (California) This product serves the purpose as a speaker for your system. So if that is all you need then it's the right product for you. There are better products that have remote controls. If you want something that doesn't feel flimsy and fragile then this isn't the product for you.
Good sound for less January 19, 2009 D. Matthew 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This device is a good use for music, internet radio and video MP4s / movies. But it's only for the ones who have PSP1000 (phat). PSP2000(which I have) and PSP3000 won't fit the headphone output. But it will recharge and that's it. But this is a good buy, the sound is great, bass and all. If you have the PSP1000 GET IT!
really good for the price June 30, 2008 Jose Campos (Los Angeles, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i like this thing it has good bass response its pretty loud and it charges your psp which i was unaware of when i bought this speaker set which gave it a good plus in my sense although one small flaw it has an annoying high-pitch sound when it not playing anything its not very noticeable but its still there the sound quality itself is really good all things considered. this is the best speaker set for your psp i've heard for the price its an excellent buy i feel as if the product to make costs more than its sold for but thats my opinion

A good peripheral, but not worth the cost. July 14, 2005 EgoAnt (Edmonton, AB, Canada) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Here in Canada this item retails for around $70, which is a big chunk of change to pay for a pair of speakers for your PSP. Overall the design is decent, and the tilt arm for the PSP allows you to swing the arm back and forth as well as tilt the PSP at the end of the arm.
The speakers are good, but they certainly aren't going to blow you away. Fortunately I found this unit at a store that was having a 25% off all PSP peripherals sale, even still, I'm not really sure I got my money's worth.
Here are a couple of my pet peeves about the unit...
1. No AC adapter. Seriously, for the price you would think they could throw a cable in there.
2. The volume + and - buttons, and the play / pause and forward / rewind buttons are all clear. When I first pulled it out of the box I saw the buttons and thought they lit up, which would have been a nice touch. As it is without any light it actually makes the buttons a little hard to see. (EDIT: Sorry, the buttons DO light up, but only when you press them, which still makes them hard to see...)
3. On the cover of the box the front of the unit looks like it is made of clear plastic, and it gives the impression that there is a spot to put a couple of UMD discs. However, once you get it out of the package that area of the the unit is actually just a black piece of plastic that has the hip|gear logo on it.
Basically this is a really great peripheral that didn't end up in the right price range. At about $30 I probably would have let all these little things go, but even at $49 US ($59 CAD) this unit feels like it should have been just a little more polished.
